Australian Diana Spencer (Toni Collette) wins a prize which consists of a trip to London, where she plans to meet her namesake, Princess Diana. In her quest to meet her idol, things get mixed up and Diana ends up being arrested with paparazzi photographer Rob (Dominic West).

John Simm plays Neil, Rob's friend and also a paparazzi.

notes & trivia
This film's timing was quite horrible, since Princess Diana happened to die the same year it was planned to be released. It's said lots of reediting was needed and an extra opening scene was added with Toni Collette's character leaving flowers in front of Buckingham Palace in order to make the whole thing a flashback.
