‘Skellig’ teaser + news
 15 February 2009, 09:16 pm

Sky1 has uploaded a 2-minute teaser trailer for their David Almond book adaptation Skellig! You can watch it at Skymedia.co.uk. Enjoy! If you haven’t read the book and don’t want to know what happens, please be aware the video has spoilers of pretty much the whole thing.

Edit: unfortunately, the trailer has now been taken down by Sky from their website and I’ve been asked to do the same. Sorry about that.

In addition, Amazon is already taking pre-orders for the DVD, which according to them is to be released on May 18th by Universal Pictures. You can pre-order it here. Edit: the DVD is no longer available for pre-order, but you can sign up to be notified.

And finally, Sky1 is running a Skellig Schools Competition which promises a school visit from David Almond himself plus a screening of the film for the winner. Feel free to pass it on for those who may be interested! Also, the competition site seems to confirm April as the airing date.

General video update
 13 January 2009, 10:11 am

Seeing as there are no real news lately, I’ll be adding some media that was missing from the site. First here’s a bunch of videos I hadn’t uploaded before. Enjoy!

Note: speaking of which, if anyone out there has decent quality clips (not youtube) of the other two CBeebies Stories—Me and My Mammoth and Wilbie and Harry—and would like to share them, I’d be really very grateful. Thank you!

 22 December 2008, 12:56 pm

You can find another new still for The Devil’s Whore in the drama’s section. Thanks to L once more! Again I must ask you not to use it at any other website. Channel 4 is already airing ads for the programme too. You can watch a long version of the trailer clicking on the image above or going here. Thanks to PS at LiveJournal for capturing the video!

And according to the Radio Times website, next week’s issue will feature an article with John Simm on The Devil’s Whore. On sale Tuesday 11th November.
