frequently asked questions

Before contacting me though, it'd be great if you could please take a minute to go through the following questions & answers (not really frequently asked, but made up by me). Maybe the topic you want to write me about is already addressed below and it'll save both our time.

Are you John Simm? Is this his official site?

No, I am not. Nor I've got any kind of contact with him or his management. This site is run by a mere admirer of his work who thought it'd be nice to spend the time building an informative up-to-date dedication in the form of this little website. So no, this is not an official site and you can't reach the actor through it. | Go to top.

How can I reach Mr Simm, then?

Through his agency, most likely - that'd be Independent Talent Group Ltd. You can write to him via the snail mail address at their website. As I'm sure Mr Simm receives a big quantity of mail, no response is guaranteed. | Go to top.

You're missing this and this in the website.

Most of the stuff here has been written, scanned, transcribed or captured by yours truly, hoping to make this site as original content filled as possible. I am aware of pics from premieres and photoshoots that can be found online but not here, but quantity of photos is not really the point of the site. If it's information I'm missing (about a project, etc.) please do send me an email, any help is welcome. | Go to top.

 What's with the name?

Oh, right. I swear it makes sense in my head. Mr Simm has mentioned a couple of times how he used to want to be a massive movie star, kind of what happened to Ewan McGregor when he did Trainspotting. Of course, he did Human Traffic instead. Personally, the choices he's made have always made me endlessly happy, so I wouldn't change his career for McGregor's for the world, big movie star or not. So you could say the name is an appreciative inside joke. I also wanted a catchy name, most are overused nowadays. | Go to top.

Why are there so few photos/captures?

As I said, this website is mostly built on material I've obtained myself, thus only pictures scanned by me will be featured here. The only exception at the moment are movie, television and theatre stills, as well as pics from some events (premieres directly related to Mr Simm and award shows, I don't want to overdo it) which I thought were important to include. As for the captures, I didn't want to make a massive gallery (those exist already) so I decided on 16 captures for each film or episode. That should be enough for people to have an idea of how Mr Simm looks in it. And photos are not really the point of the site, as I said. | Go to top.

Can I post your photos/content anywhere else?

The images I've scanned are not watermarked for the simple reason that, well, they're not mine anyway. I'd expect a link back here if you use them elsewhere, though. But please, ask me when in doubt. As for the content, you can use excerpts as long as you credit the site back. | Go to top.

I run a fansite, can I be your affiliate?

Sure thing! Right now I'm looking for quality websites dedicated to an actor or actress (preferably British) with no paparazzi content. You can try contacting me and see how it goes. | Go to top.

Oops - typo, grammar and/or spelling mistake.

Yeah, that happens. Although I've been learning the language for too long for it to be a valid excuse, English is not my mother tongue. So please go ahead and point any of those out to me. | Go to top.

 This site is awful/great!

Don't hesitate to send in any constructive criticism or feedback, be it negative or positive. Please don't be too harsh though, I don't get paid for this! | Go to top.
